The BDAA Youth Initiative was conceived in 2012 in recognition of the difficulty which many young people, expecially those requiring accompaniment by a parent or chaperon but certainly not limited to those, face in affording attendance at our annual BDAA Conventions as today's lodging, travel and other incidental costs continue to escalate.
A panel which includes members of BDAA's board of directors has been established to review applications for assistance and make awards based on individual needs and evident ability to benefit from the learning and growth opportunities our conferences offer. Our goal is to be able to provide meaningful financial assistance to supplement that provided by families, friends, sponsoring orchestras or other sources of support.
Your contribution will help us to make a real difference in the lives of a new generation of future BDAA members and encourage them to participate in activites otherwise beyond their reach.
The BDAA is a not-for-profit 501.c.3. educational and cultural corporation and donations for this purpose are deductible as contributions to the furtherance of goals set forth in our charter. Your interest and generosity are very much appreciated.
